Yes Djembe Drums and Skins has now officially moved it's main content to djembedrumsandskins.com and will be slowly turning this domain into a nostalgia location with much of our older content still accessible.
Thank you to the thousands of faithful customers that have kept this company going for over 28 years.  We have also recently added Mali to the list of West African countries we import from in order to bring another higher tier of West African percussion to our retail and wholesale lines.

July is an exciting month for us. We are expecting some shipments from West Africa. The first one from Ghana will contain a majority of drums, some shells, and a new smaller size of djembe. It also contains some nice percussion and should arrive around the middle of the month. The Ivory Coast container has djembes, bougarabous. goatskins, cowhides, and djuns. It should be here around the last week of July. Krins and djembe shells are on their way from Guinea. We do keep a waiting list (and it already has several names on it), you are welcome to call and add your names and wanted items to it.  Call for more information and to order. 800-549-3966.

DeerHawke Baker and Djembe Drums & Skins, Inc created djembe out of one of Susan Iwaniw's shells. It was purchased by Rob Reid of My Cauldron in West DeLand, FL). It will be the shop drum and will be passed around in a drumming memorial for her on Oct 15 at My Cauldron. the profit from the djembe will be donated to the hospice that was so helpful to both Susan and her sister. https://www.thehospicefoundation.org/

  • We are receiving small, medium and large djembe shells from Ghana. You can buy them as shells and build you own drums or we can build djembes for you.   Either way they will look like what you want.
  • We are also getting in around 1500 goatskins from ivory Coast. These will be with hair and hairless. Yay.

Once our air shipment arrives we will put them her on the website and we'll announce their arrival on Facebook and maybe even a newsletter.
