18" Hairless Goatskin Rounds from Pakistan

Good for small projects. The white or lighter colored goatskin rounds are $12.00 each. We now have a darker patterned round that has an African look. These are $12.00 each and are becoming popular. Both are good for small djembes, dumbeks, banjos, talking drums, etc. Not good for regular size djembes. 
Please let us know what these goatskins are being used for.   It will help us determine the best thickness for your project.

Cow Bellies from Ivory Coast

These cowhide rounds are cut from Ivory Coast hides and are used for Djembes, Comparable to perhaps a thick calf skin.  Cost is 11 cents per square inch. We recommend ordering a round at least 6" larger than the Diameter of your Drum's Head. Call for specific sizes or you can purchase standard sizes below.

Ivory Coast Whole Cow Hides
NOTICE: A large percentage of our Cowhides come in with paint on them &/or hair rubbed off in spots due to shifting during long distance travels. Our suppliers use paint to mark their herds instead of branding (for the most part) if you are already proficient in removing the paint, no worries. We do remove it on the ones we use so we know it can be done.

Call for availability of specific colors
Currently we are not selling what full hides we do have because of the condition of them. Between the missing hair and paint markings and even a few brands, and most are also fairly small. We apologize for this inconvenience, however we can't afford to ship them out and have them returned. If these issues don't bother you and you still want one, give us a call and we'll discuss it.

Most of our goatskins and cowhides come from West Africa, South America and Pakistan. The skins and hides from West Africa are from animals that are ranch raised and used for food. All are bug free and have passed veterinary, USDA and US Customs inspections. All full-sized haired goatskins are at least 20" wide and as long as the goat. Hairless African skins are at least 22" wide. Please let us know if you need a wide skin. There are no holes or scars in the working area. We inspect the skins carefully. If you find a defect we will replace the skin at no charge.  Sizes, colors and thickness vary.  You must call to order cowhides.
