Unfortunately there will be several products with price increases, some effective immediately, others as needed. With the cost of shipping/freight continually rising, Our costs are rising on all items some of them significantly. We are expecting some shipments from West Africa. The first one from Ghana will contain a majority of drums, some shells, and a new smaller size of djembe. It also contains some nice percussion and should arrive around the middle of the month. The Ivory Coast container has djembes, bougarabous. goatskins, cowhides, and djuns. It should be here around the last week of July. Krins and djembe shells are on their way from Guinea. Shorty just came back from the airport with 1,00 goatskins from the Ivory Coast. We now have both haired and hairless skins in stock.
Many of you are aware that our area has been besieged by horrific fires. They were not in our part of Sevier County, TN, however many of our dear friends have been affected. Some do not even know if their homes survived. We are praying for them. Our staff are all safe. We really appreciate your concerns. Please send prayers to this area as the community recovers from this awful tragedy. We are thankful that our homes and businesses are all safe.

It with great sadness we have to announce that one of our best friends and accomplished drum builders has passed. Susan Iwaniw is at peace after a brief illness with cancer. DeerHawke Baker and Djembe Drums & Skins, Inc created djembe out of one of Susan Iwaniw's shells. It was purchased by Rob Reid of My Cauldron in West DeLand, FL). It will be the shop drum and will be passed around in a drumming memorial for her on Oct 15 at My Cauldron. the profit from the djembe will be donated to the hospice that was so helpful to both Susan and her sister. https://www.thehospicefoundation.org/
