This is big news that you need to know. As of January 1, 2021, DeerHawke owns and operates Djembe Drums & Skins with Brigid still the office manager. They have been working with Sandy and me for many years. It's time for us to retire, and they are the perfect pair to take over. Chris who has also been with us for many years will stay with the company. Drum building has been my passion for more than 20 years, and I am excited to be able to pass DD&S on to people who share this love. DeerHawke and Chris are exceptional drum builders. Brigid makes it her job to know the product and daily operations well. All 3 individuals are already giving you fabulous service. DeerHawke and Chris with their craftsmanship and Brigid with her competency at getting your orders filled. We are all thrilled that this transition is happening. The shop is moving to a new location in our same county, right down the highway. Sandy and I will still be around to help out and serve as consultants. Oh, and we will represent Djembe Drums & Skins at The Drum Circle Facilitator's Guild Conference in February 2021 and at Paralounge.
Thank-you for your business over the years, it has been a pleasure to serve you, Shorty Palmer
These Shop Built are for Sale!
July is an exciting month for us. We are expecting some shipments from West Africa. The first one from Ghana will contain a majority of drums, some shells, and a new smaller size of djembe. It also contains some nice percussion and should arrive around the middle of the month. The Ivory Coast container has djembes, bougarabous. goatskins, cowhides, and djuns. It should be here around the last week of July. Krins and djembe shells are on their way from Guinea. We do keep a waiting list (and it already has several names on it), you are welcome to call and add your names and wanted items to it. Call for more information and to order. 800-549-3966.
