Tomorrow we will receive an air shipment from Ivory Coast and Ghana. It will be full of djembes, shells, goatskins, and more. Then in a few weeks our container will arrive! It will bring more djembes, djun-djuns, goatskins, cowhides, etc. it's always exciting!

June 10 - 12  Djembe and Dunun Builder's Conference Get together to share tips, tricks, tools, ideas and techniques for drum building. It's also an opportunity to buy, sell and trade drum building supplies. It takes place in Willimantic, Conn. Djembe Drums & Skins, Inc (Shorty and Sandy) is packing up to attend the 11th Annual Drum Circle Facilitator's Guild conference next week. We always enjoy this event because we see many friends and customers. The drumming is so good and so much fun. The workshops are always helpful and informative.  We will bring drums and percussion. Shorty will demonstrate his drum building craft. By the way we do take pre-orders. By the way, the conference is being held at a new location. The Beach Colony Resort.  Reservations go thru The Ocean Creek Resort.

We are planning on taking drums and percussion to three wonderful events that we fully enjoy.  Shorty brings his table and demonstrates his drum building techniques. Sandy mans the booth and sometimes facilitates. So much fun.

1.   In February we will be at the Drum Circle Facilitator's Guild Conference in Myrtle Beach S.C. Click here for more information.  This is a great conference for people who facilitate drum circles. All sort of facilitators come together and share experience and knowledge. This year Arthur Hull will conduct the Village Music Circles ™ Week-Long Intensive Drum Circle Facilitation Training following the conference.

2.  May brings Paralounge in Ocala, FL. Here's the information . 
We always look forward to the shows, the workshops, and sharing with our "family ". Of course the evening drum circle is so much fun.

3.  May also brings DrumStrong in Charlotte, NC. Drumstrong is an event that helps raise funds for and awareness of cancer. How incredible drummers from all over the world sync up with the group in Charlotte to raise energy towards curing cancer. This year it is a one day event and very worthwhile. Here's the website.

•       Our container from Ivory Coast arrived on 8/6/2015, 2 days before we went on vacation to Denver. Some really nice helpers showed up to unload the shipment. Deerhawk and Brigid worked hard while we were gone to get out as much as possible to the several page long waiting list. It took us all a few more weeks to take care of that list. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to announce the new shipment. This is what we have on hand from the Ivory Coast shipment: a very nice selection of medium to thick haired goatskins, thin to medium hairless goatskins, cowhides, djembes, and djembe shells.

     We also have all 3 sizes of djembes from Ghana along with some lovely ashikos. We have nice hides for conga heads and a new color of rope, midnight sky. We have all 3 sizes of Kente patterned cloth djembes bags and regular nylon djembe bags in red, green and black. We also have a few ENO bags in stock.

At this time we have haired goatskins from Ivory Coast and plenty of both Djembe Shells and Full drums from Ghana and Ivory Coast. Next week we will be flooded with hairless and haired skins, cowhides and all sorts of rope tuned drums from Ivory coast. Remember if you want to come hlep unload you get first pick and also good deals! Give us a call. Oh also we are keeping a wait list for hairless goatskins and cowhides. Yay! It's on the way!

The container from Ivory Coast with lots more goatskins, cowhides Djuns and Djembes will be here within the next few weeks. It's expected in port on July 31st.

There is an air shipment of goatskins (both hairy and hairless). cowhides, and Ivory Coast Djembe shells coming into Knoxville within the next couple of weeks. An 8 x 10 x 10 container filled with the same and more from the Ivory Coast  is on the water and should be here by mid August. It will have Djembes, Shells, Djun Djuns,  Bougarbous, cowhides, and goatskins on board. Here are some photos of last year's container. We always need help unloading. It's lots of work, and Shhorty gives good deals to helpers!
