Shorty picked up several Guinea Djembe shells in NYC right before Hurricane Sandy hit. We are finally getting photos of them up on the web for you to see. "Diamonds in the Rough", these shells have not been cleaned up and some have cracks from shipping and probably climate change. Most of the cracks are on the surface and can be easily fixed. They will not effect the sound of the drum.Other cracks are larger, and can be repaired. Shorty is happy to do that or you can buy them at a very good price and repair them yourself. They are made of various West African woods - Lenge, Hare, and Djala. Comments are closed.
